Finite Element Analysis Simulation - Drill Bit

Drilling operations produce enormous stress on a drill bit. This is due to the conditions of the rock and/or soil it is drilling through as well as the speed by which it rotates and moves. Therefore, optimization of the bit geometry is of utmost importance to minimize stress concentrations. At ENA2, we use finite element analysis (FEA) to examine the behaviour of drilling equipment.
