Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Description
ENA2 is seeking to hire a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to be part of our green energy start-up initiative named- PowerLoop Green Energy Technologies. The candidate would possess a solid background in design engineering with over 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and validate new innovative products
- Has a deep understanding of the product so that it can be optimized by specifying new functional requirements, and integrating new components to manufacture the final design
- Enable proof of concept testing by creating and developing prototype components
- Fluency using 3D Model systems to produce engineering drawings and part specifications
- Apply criteria given in codes and standards in the preparation of design recommendations
- Execute and deliver projects in a consulting environment with multiple priorities and evolving timelines
- Technically support the sales team to present Abaqus, fe-safe and Tosca to new clients
- Collaborate with other engineers in a multi-disciplinary work environment
- Enhance positive client relationships
- Perform other related duties as required
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering
- At least 5 years of industry experience
- Registered with APEGA as an EIT or P. Eng, or eligible to register
- Experience in manufacturing is preferable
- 5 years of experience with SolidWorks is preferred
- Experience with other CAD/CAE/FEA software is an asset but not mandatory
- Proficient in standard Windows software
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Self-motivated to further engineering skills and knowledge
