Input files, solver workflows, and results evaluation

Introduction to Abaqus Standard/Explicit Training

This 3-day course helps engineers and analysts build practical working knowledge of Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/Explicit using input files, keyword syntax, solver procedures, and Abaqus/Viewer. Participants learn how to define models, run linear and nonlinear analyses, interpret solver messages, troubleshoot common issues, and evaluate results. This course is especially useful for users working with third-party preprocessors or teams that need stronger control over Abaqus solver workflows beyond the Abaqus/CAE interface.

Abaqus Standard & Explicit FAQ

This course is designed for engineers, analysts, CAE users, and technical teams who want to understand Abaqus solver workflows beyond the interactive Abaqus/CAE interface. It is especially useful for users working with third-party preprocessors, keyword input files, or projects that require direct control over Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/Explicit analysis procedures.

Introduction to Abaqus focuses mainly on interactive modeling and analysis workflows in Abaqus/CAE. This course focuses on input files, keyword syntax, solver procedures, Abaqus/Standard, Abaqus/Explicit, and results evaluation using Abaqus/Viewer.

Participants will learn how Abaqus input files are structured, how to define models using keywords, how to set up linear and nonlinear analyses, how to model contact and constraints, how to interpret solver messages, and how to review results from Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/Explicit analyses.

ENA2 can customize the training based on your team’s experience level, preferred dates, project needs, and technical focus areas. Customized sessions can emphasize nonlinear analysis, contact, element selection, convergence behavior, Abaqus/Standard procedures, Abaqus/Explicit workflows, material nonlinearity, dynamics, or model transfer.

Training can be delivered online, hybrid, or in person in Calgary, Alberta. For engineering teams, ENA2 can also arrange custom training dates and focused lecture content to better match internal schedules and project priorities.

The course combines lectures, demonstrations, workshops, and practical exercises using Abaqus input files and postprocessing workflows. Participants gain experience running Abaqus analyses, reviewing solver messages, troubleshooting model issues, and evaluating results using Abaqus/Viewer.
